It takes less than 10 minutes to drive into central Stenungsund; a very popular and ever-growing coastal community with a huge range of shopping and culture.
Less than 25 km to the sailing metropolis of Marstrand, where even the King of Sweden is a regular visitor.
The sea lies only a few stones' throw from Bergegård. Several fantastic beaches lie comfortably within a 5-10 minute car journey.
The beach at Kåkenäs with its pier, small beach and wonderful rocks. A kiosk offering refreshments in high season. Parking generally available by the cycle and pedestrian routes, thence a short 5 minute walk.
The beach at Nösnäs (top right), in a central location with parking in close proximity. A fine, shallow beach with disability-adapted pier. A lunch restaurant and coffee bar are close by. A 10 minute walk along
the waterfront to Stenungsund's commercial centre with more than 60 shops.
Norums holme (bottom right), is an isolated peninsular with wonderful rocks. Part of a nature reserve with a wealth of birdlife - dogs must be kept on a leash. Free-roaming horses and cattle can be found.
Parking at the Garden Centre (Blomsterlandet), then a leisurely 15 minute stroll.
Svartedalenīs peaceful natural and recreational area with an abundance of biological diversity, only 20 km away. The Bohusleden nature trail, canoeing and swimming in a large number of lakes.
